Whew...Made It!!

Telling the Pres about the squirrel that continually jumps onto the bird feeders, I finally convinced him to scare off the rodent, simply stand still at the slider and watch how the genius was getting up.  So, the Pres opened the slider, shouted and the squirrel jumped down and hid in the brush for a while.

When he came out from behind the rock, he scurried over to the fence, climbed the metal post, and then walked like it was on a tightrope (swear to goodness!!!).  Then he made this dare devilish leap to the squirrel baffle.  (I know everything is blurry in the photo, but it's hard to catch a flying squirrel in the act!!).

Landing like he had taken lessons from the Flying Wallandas, he quickly and almost instantly regained his composure and settled onto his haunches.

seeing, saying, sharing...

Whew...Made It!!

 Saturday Critters

One more thing.  Today (01/08/22) I won't be around.  Today is our Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey and I am, once again, leading a team (COVID and all) to observe five locations within the four hour time frame.  Here's hoping we spot some birds!

They are persistent and clever little creatures.
That is one determined squirrel, JP, and wondering if the Pres has any solutions to stop the aerobatic display.

When you think of all the things you do, squirrels are amazing! I am amazed that you were even able to get this photo, well done!
That squirrel sure is talented!
