Heads Up

After all the Thanksgiving prep and enjoyment, I was really anxious to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a short morning walk.  This particular morning, I ran into my friend who believes he found a way in to observe the nest, "but it won't be easy", he said.

Happy to see him, I said, "Hey, take a look at these pix.  Is this bear scat?  Are these bear tracks?"

HIM:  "Yep.  Where did you take those?  Near the nest?" 

ME:  "Yep, you know where that huge tree is uprooted and the root-ball is pretty much still in tact?  You know on the South side of the nest?"

HIM:  "Well, we'd better be on our toes when we go in then."
