Found...The Trees
About two weeks ago, while I was home "recuperating," my good friend (the man I told you about who knows just about everything about Nature and the outdoors) called me. Over the past few months, since the drawdown began, he's been telling me that he'd walked "in there" numerous times and "unless I'm blind, there's no nests in there, I'm telling you, JP."
Listening to him, I was hearing the words I seemed to say to him every time I saw him as he shook his head side to side telling me they were NOT in there. "They are in there. I know they are. There are just too many coincidences with what I've seen in their behavior. I'm telling you. The nest is in there... somewhere, I KNOW it is."
So, on 10/26/21, I took a walk in sore thigh and all. Yet, thanks to the drawdown and Mother Nature THIS TIME many leaves were off the deciduous trees. I did not loose sight of dead trees I was after. In fact, once in there and up close, I spotted several dead trees where the pair may use as a perch coming and going to the nest. One of them was, in fact the tree shown in the second photo, where an adult is perched and the same tree I watched this year's juvenile fly to when it first fledged. Now...seeing, saying, sharing...
