Woody Woodpecker????
I mean really. I know the photo is not clear but I just had to show you what or WHOM I found enjoying our very cold, Northeast waterways! These Hooded Mergansers have been hanging around a spot on the river daily. Yet it is almost Spring and I thought they should be heading to their breeding grounds much further North unless, due to climate change, they plan on taking up residence here.
