The Power of ONE

With no change in care this year, we anxiously awaited the blooms on our hydrangeas.  Last year the Pres brought home six very young ones from his friend's farm which primarily sells vegetables and seasonal plants.

Planting them along the fence line we watched and waited all Summer.  Protecting them from the Winter winds with burlap, we intentionally waited for there to be food in the woods for the deer so they wouldn't be eaten.   When Spring came, they were treated with kid gloves and they grew substantially.  Well, here it is the beginning of September and this is what we were rewarded with...one big, beautiful bloom.
