Dog Tired
Sometimes, after getting home from a walk (especially when I use hiking poles to get my arms engaged), I want to just crash. Following me downstairs while I change my clothes then back up again, Katniss sits patiently while I adjust the blanket "just so." Then I say, "Come on. I'm ready." Then up she jumps and as I scratch her chin, she falls asleep. I wonder why can't people fall asleep as fast as a cat?
