The Welcome Home Committee

The other day, after getting home from the store, thinking I would save them a few steps, I walked around the back of the house.  Moon and Copper were heading to the fence to greet me and how could I pass up that "welcome home committee"?

And I spotted IT right away.  Funny how when you're a pet owner you can spot things on your dogs immediately whether it be a swollen eye, a limp, or in this case...IT.  Both dogs move at a much slower pace now so as Copper strolled over, I watched as my poor boy was being bitten by IT.

IT was a deer fly and I hate them.  Oh, I know that everything in Nature has a place but as far as I'm concerned they need to go "baa-bye."  Besides, if they're a "deer fly," why do they bother horses, cows, humans and DOGS???

Another reason they need to move on is because IT...THEY cannot be that intelligent either.   Copper wasn't even wearing his antlers and IT thought he was a deer!!
