Shade Meant Shadows
Many of you have asked me about the "yardwork" going on here. You see, the solar company suggested that we remove TWO huges trees that were casting significant shade on the South/Southeast side of our house. The panels will be installed on the South side of the house...one of three sides that face the woods. Removing those TWO trees boost the solar panel capacity tremendously. So, initially, it was TWO trees coming down.
However, the Pres has always wanted to remove the trees that ran along the fenceline bordering the woods. The mass tree removal of TWENTY-ONE opens up the yard significantly which is just what he wanted. While I was VERY concerned about loosing our shade, he convinced me that since we are surrounded by woods on three sides, those trees would supply more than ample shade for the dogs, my shade loving plants and me. He was right.
Now we continue to get prices to pull the stumps before he grades and seeds while I plan the relocating of shrubs and perennials.
Don't you love the sawdust trailing this falling log that appears suspended?
