Experience Matters

The Wrens move in every year and although pushy and a tad bossy, they, too, need places to live.  Besides they are so cute!!  

So one afternoon as I sat on the deck with the Pres while he read his afternoon paper, I spotted this genius.

Trying and trying to get the slender brown twig into the entrance, it refused to give up.  When I saw it cock it's head back as if to say, "Hmmmm...how can I get this in there?" I watched closely.  Slowly and carefully it readjusted it's grip and positioning of the twig and before I knew it, the twig was in!
