Just Keep Walking

My former boss used an expression quite frequently.  When she would assign a major project to me, she would say, "JP, this project can be done if you take baby steps."  Looking back I think what Pat didn't realize was how much or how often her words have helped me with things over the years.

Ever since the Pres was admitted to the hospital in February, we just keep walking...taking baby steps.  First, it was to concentrate on the clots.  Gone.  Then it was the Atrial Fibrillation.  Gone.  And now...we are ready to just keep walking...preparing for surgery.

We went to the Cardiologist this week and it was all good news. The latest tests show that the Pres' heart muscle has improved since February.  He is ready to take the next step...our consultation with the doctor who will perform the Cardio Catheterization the end of the month.  That test will finish painting the picture for the Thoracic Surgeon who will perform the Pres open heart surgery.  Then, we will slow down and be able to get some rest.
