Seasonal Reminders
Sharing with you and those at
Mosaic Monday
The warmth from the rocks in the sun is fading as the sun sits lower and lower each day. While the cool air moves in quickly once the sun has set, we are getting a lot done around the yard. Almost daily trimming and clipping of spent flowers and dried seed heads, I have quite a collection for next year. I already told my neighbor she can have all she wants.
As you can see, the ferns have begun to change color before dying back completely because of the cold nights and sunny, dry days. The Sensitive Ferns are nearly spent. Wandering through the yard, I see the Jack in the Pulpits bright red seed heads contract nicely with their vivid green leaves. The colors remind me of Christmas!
