And So It Began: The Tradition

2 c creamy peanut butter
2 c Rice Krispies
1 box Confectionery Sugar
1 16 oz bag Chocolate Chips
1/4 cake paraffin wax

Years ago, when most of the grand kids were young, the Pres' sister hosted an annual cookie swap. Held a few weeks before Christmas, we would all bring our dozens of one variety to swap and share with the other family members. Leaving with a wide variety and dozens of cookies packed neatly in a box, we would head home to savor our treats.

When the cookie swap stopped because several family members moved out of state, I really missed seeing everyone and all the cookies.  So, I began my own tradition, baking all of our kids favorites and delivering bags and boxes to them at Christmas.

And so it began...thanks Nancy, Mom, Mary Ann, Susan, Sue, Carol, Laura and Suzanne!
