Bread and Sparkles

"Nana, why is the baby cow licking her butt?" said Mia when we paid a recent visit to a nearby farm to feed the cows, goats and bulls.

"That's not her butt, Mia.  Her butt is under her tail.  On a cow, that big sack is called an udder.  That's where the mom stores her milk and the baby is drinking milk."

"Mia, I think this is the Daddy, don't you?"

No answer to that question.

"Nana, I dropped my bag of bread.  I have to make all of them sandwiches.  And I have to give the baby some too because it will grow big and strong.  Then she can have babies too."

"Good girl."

"Nana, do you think they like my new boots.  They have sparkles."

Let the games begin!
Her mind never shuts off.
