Punta Cana: Birds & Braids

The sand on these beaches was so clean that when you walked, it squeaked!  It was so soft and silky and walking in the water, you could see right down to the bottom.

Yep.  The KGB continued to hover around us every day.  Jennifer watched them arrive at the beach.  They would help their wives get settled in, arranging their chairs, putting lotion on them.  Then, head out for their "constitutional" right in our direction!  What we couldn't figure out, was why the wives didn't get annoyed?!?!?

These fellows were around almost every day too!  They had these parrots that you would get your picture taken with.  We didn't do that though.  We did, however, have another Ocean Blue.  Actually we usually began sipping on them right around noon.  They tasted so good in the sun!

Then one day, Jennifer decided to get her hair braided as I sat near the pool sipping an Ocean Blue!...:)

Before we knew it, it was Saturday night.  We had only one more full day left to enjoy the Dominican Republic's hospitality.  We planned our Sunday strategically and even decided that since our flight was later Monday afternoon, we would hit the beach one more time Monday morning.

to be continued...
